Throughout Montsalvat’s art collection are religious images and interpretations by artist and architect Justus Jörgensen. Raised in the Catholic faith and with three sisters who became nuns, Justus explored Christian iconography throughout his life, with the crucifix being a central theme. Significantly Montsalvat’s Chapel, whilst never consecrated, was the last building created by Jörgensen.
